The former youth radio station with its broadcaster DT64 was an essential element of youth culture in the GDR. The concrete building with its modular design and characteristic central access cores made of glass blocks is located in the immediate vicinity of Funkhaus Berlin, which is known as a venue for concerts and events. After years of vacancy, the building will now offer creative workers a new location with a high degree of flexibility. The special aura of the modular building is to be preserved, while the new elements remain clearly distinct. Each floor will be equipped with 8 double supply elements that accommodate sanitary facilities and a kitchen, also serving to organize the space. With flexible partition walls, studios and offices of various sizes can be easily configured.
